  The hosts were lovely and made us feel at home. They gave us information about the area, including restaurants, but were not intrusive. They upgraded our room at no cost. The Irish breakfast was delicious!

  Sunrise Lodge is just an awesome place to stay! Peadar and his wife are just a lovely hosts, they made me and my wife feel just like home! The house is amazing with everything one needs to just relax and have a great time! Its near the city so you can get by foot everywhere!
  If you're looking for a place to stay in Galway look no further! This is the place to be!

  My husband's brother died while we we on our trip to Ireland and we were forced to end our trip early to assist my niece back in the USA. I phoned the Sunrise Lodge as soon as I found out, but unfortunately it was with 48 hour cancellation time ( I did phone more the 24 hours in advance). I explained our situation and request a refund IF the proprietor could book the 2 rooms we reserved. Since this was a bank holiday weekend, and there were little or no rooms available in the B and B's in the area, I thought they would have a good chance of filling the room. I was told "absolutely not" that the policy stood. I thought this was a little heartless. I only hope that they did not profit doubly from our misfortune.

  Excellent host makes you feel like home, spotless rooms and good wifi, walkable to city centre in 10-12 minutes.

  Paddy and Joan were delightful hosts. They are so kind and welcoming and truly care about making sure you're having the best experience possible. The beds and pillows were wonderful, as was breakfast. We found it was about a 15-20 minute walk to most restaurants and shops in galway but the view across the street was amazing and well worth a slightly longer walk!

  Sunrise lodge is on a small street overlooking the bay. The owners are very friendly, and even greeted us by name at the door after a long day sightseeing. We stayed in the attic room, which had plenty of room and was exactly as depicted on their Web site.
